Call this number if you are homeless or at risk of homelessness and follow the prompts to be screened for eligibility for a variety of programs, from emergency shelter to permanent housing.

Housing Vouchers

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) — formerly known as Section 8 — is a rental assistance program to help low and very low-income families, persons with disabilities and seniors so they can live in affordable, safe and decent housing. This program covers all of Placer County with the exception of the City of Roseville. The City of Roseville has its own Housing Authority. (Owners/landlords can find information here.) Applications for the waitlist are periodically accepted.

HUD-Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing

This is a housing voucher program for homeless veterans, combining the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for homeless veterans.

Fair Housing

Fair Housing provides assistance to individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination in housing rentals, sales, or financing because of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, disability, or familial status.

 

Housing Support Program

This program offers housing-related wrap-around supportive services for CalWORKS clients. Current clients should discuss with their counselor.
